Guiding Hands School cafeteria/gymnasium can serve 168, and offers 5 daily lunch periods where students are served in developmentally appropriate groupings. Approximately 150 hot lunches are prepared daily.
The cafeteria's Food Service Manager is trained in professional nutrition, diet, and health programs. Her staff has also received in-service training about nutrition related to children on the autism spectrum. Our kitchen meets the requirements for our Health Permit issued through Environmental Management Department in El Dorado County.
Guiding Hands Schools offers a free and reduced lunch program for families who qualify. Students may bring a sack lunch to school if they prefer or require a highly modified diet. Monthly menus are posted in our monthly Newsletter.
