A sense of personal pride and the courage to act in a positive manner is a key to success. Because Guiding Hands School is a community where we all work together to achieve that success, our school's counseling services focus on strengthening self-image, self-pride and the idea of personal accomplishment.

We develop these skills by teaching all of our students to make regular positive statements about themselves and others, and reinforcing these positive statements in the classroom and every environment on campus. Counseling services also emphasize personal safety, teaching our students to be aware of their surroundings, and what is appropriate behavior in unfamiliar environments.
